I signed up for my first 5k and I can't even run a mile right now without being out of breath and taking a break. But I have had this goal for a long time to be healthier and to exercise/run so I figured a 5k would be my most best motivation because now I have to force myself to run if I don't want to die in the 5k. I am sure there are alot of different running programs out there for training and I am not sure what the best one is so I just picked one. Here is the link to the running program I am following. http://www.superskinnyme.com/beginner_running_program.html
I went on my first run today and feel pretty good. I had my fabulous 4 year old be in charge of the timer so I knew when to start and stop running. Below is a clip art picture I saw today as I was researching jogging tips and I had a good laugh because these were the exact words Chase would yell to me as the timer was going off. Wish me luck!

A new ride
My sister's father in law makes these awesome block sets with a wooden wagon and let me tell you they provide hours of entertainment. This last week Landon figured out how to climb into the wooden wagon and brother Chase loves to give him rides. I love in one of the pictures, how he is holding the rope, waiting for someone to pull him around.

Busted
One afternoon Landon disappeared from the family room and I had noticed that the pantry door was left open. Yep just as I guessed, he took advantage of the situation and helped himself. I guess when you are only one and you can't talk, you have to figure out some way to communicate to your Mom that you are hungry. He was definitely proud of himself and when I "caught" him, he was grinning from ear to ear.

Hanging out in Galveston
The last adventure while Grandpa and Grandma Mackay were here was Galveston. There were so many options and things we could do but we decided to first check out Seawolf Park were they have USS CAVALLA, WWII Submarine and the USS STEWART, destroyer escort - one of only 3 in the world). It was really cool to see but one thing I decided for sure, I would never want to be immersed in water on a submarine. It was so hot and stuffy just walking through one, so I could only imagine how stinky, not, and suffocating it would be with other people for months at a time.
USS CAVALLA, WWII Submarine
On top of the submarine
With Grandma Mackay
Lots of gadgets
Crawling through the inside hatch doors
The living quarters of the submarine
USS STEWART, destroyer escort
Bullets taller than Chase
Taking a break from all the activity.
After Seawolf Park, we went to Galveston Island Ferry.
You can drive onto the ferry but we opted to walk on so we just enjoy the ride.
We saw at least 20 dolphins.
After the ferry ride, we let Chase loose at the beach for a few minutes. We all brought our swimsuits but it was getting to be a very long day so we decided to wait for a beach day for another time.
Thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Mackay for coming to visit us.
We love visitors and hope people keep coming to see us!

Birthday Bash
Landon's Birthday
Landon turned one on September 13. Craig was out of town and Grandpa and Grandma were arriving just a few days later so we decided to hold off on the cake and ice
cream for his birthday. It was still a great day, we played blocks, read books, went on a walk and gave lots of hugs and kisses. My brother who lives here in Houston was out of town as well so I invited my sister in law Laura and her kids over for dinner to help make it a special day for Landon. We are so glad they could come over to celebrate Landon's birthday.
Waking up in the morning to Chase and I singing Happy Birthday to him.
He loved his birthday pancakes and tasting syrup for the first time.
I made this cute onsie for him and attempted a mini photo shoot.
I love this picture because it looks like he is snickering at me.
Laughing with his eyes closed
Got to love tongue sticking out and the drool
After taking 20 pictures, I finally capture his beautiful eyes and sweet face.
And of course I can't take a picture without brother jumping in. I love my two boys.
Here are all the young guest with the birthday boy.
Ian, Landon, Audrey, Chase, and Rachel.
September 21, The Birthday Bash
We decided to throw one birthday party for both boys while Grandpa and Grandma were here. My brother and his family were able to join us as well. I like to keep parties pretty simple but decided this year to do some decorations for Chase. He is definitely at the age that he understands what a birthday is and what it is all about and it was fun to see him get so excited for his party.
The Birthday Boys
The Birthday cupcakes
Even from far away, my boys still get spoiled by their loved ones.
My sister Julie bought him one and but some money inside. Chase opened the wallet up and said quite upset, "Mom, Aunt Julie didn't but any cards in here."
Landon wasn't too sure about his cupcake.
He took a few bite but mostly just mushed it up in his fingers.
But he did love the ice cream!
Chase and his cousins doing scary faces.
We were do glad to have some of our family here to celebrate their birthdays and thank them for coming to our birthday bash.
Chase's Birthday
Chase turned four on September 28. The day before I
asked him what he wanted to do for his birthday and he said he just
wanted to play toys with me. Aw he is so sweet.
A couple of months ago, Chase asked if I would do breakfast in bed for him so I decided his birthday was a good day to do it. He requested waffles for his birthday and thought at the time that it was cool to eat breakfast in bed but the next day told me that he didn't want breakfast in bed again.
His presents from Mom and Dad
We borrowed the movie Cars 2 from the library on a monthly basis so he is excited that he doesn't have to take his movie back to the library.
Blowing out candles one more time. Happy Birthday Chase!
