Nothing makes me smile more than when I see and hear my two boys laughing and having fun together.

Splash Pad Fun
There's no better place to beat the heat than at a splash pad. They are finally open and we had a fun trying out the splash pad for the first time. Below are the boys all ready to go.
I love Landon's blue eyes. Chase actually took this picture and I thought it was so cute.

And was entertained very easily with the plastic cup

It was nice to enjoy the sunshine and I enjoyed the two hour nap we all got in after the splash pad. And as you can tell, Landon made himself comfortable and enjoyed his nap as well.

Happy Easter
We started our Easter Weekend on Friday. In the morning, we got together with my sister in law and her kids and went to Froberg Farms to pick strawberries. Here in Texas, Good Friday is a bigger deal than I am use to. The kids are out of school and many people get the day off from work so it was very busy.
The kids were excited in the beginning and got their own bucket to pick strawberries but their excitement wore off quickly. It got very hot and it was hard to find good strawberries due to bad weather earlier in the week.
EASTER EGG HUNT
Later that night we got together with some people in our ward at a park and did a little Easter egg hunt. We set the rule that each kid got to hunt for 6 eggs. I like it better this way because it is fair for all the kids. Chase was very proud when he got an egg and had to open it up to see what was inside before he would go find another one.COLORING EASTER EGGS
On Saturday night we had my brother and his family come over to color Easter eggs. Each kid had a dozen eggs to color and I think Chase made a world record for coloring his eggs the fastest. He was done in about 10 minutes. Here are the participants oldest to youngest.

Ian
We are so glad to have family close by. Chase and Audrey are about 3 months apart and Landon and Ian are about 4 months apart so it is always fun to get together!
EASTER DAY
We have church at 9:00 but usually have to leave for church about 8:30 am. So the Easter Bunny decided it would be better to hide our Easter baskets instead of our Easter Eggs. Chase ended up finding all of our baskets. Seeing how we will be swimming a lot this summer, the Easter Bunny brought Chase stuff for the swimming pool.
He is loving the goggles and wears them in the bathtub now.
He also got a Lightning McQueen shirt.
Landon was a little tired...
But eventually he decided to see what he got in his basket.

I tried really hard to focus this year on the real reason why we celebrate Easter. I put a posting on Facebook and wanted to share it again of how grateful I am for our Savior. He gave up his life because he loved us. Because of him I can return back to my Heavenly Father and be with my beautiful family forever. Easter was a wonderful day and so happy I could spend it with the people I love the most. Happy Easter to everyone.
Meet Chase's Friends
Meet Chase and his friends. From left to right we have Sugar, Brownie, Teddy, and then pillow pet Cookie Dough. Wrapped around his neck is Green. You will most likely find Chase's friends with him where ever he is in the house. I usually only let him choose one friend to sleep with at night but often he will find him cuddled up with all of them. He sure loves his friends.

Just like Dad
Chase is and always has been a good worker. He loves being Craig's sidekick. He likes working in the garage, using his tools for house projects, working in the yard, and my favorite going to the Home Depot. Last Saturday it was really hot but Chase insisted on mowing the lawn with Craig. He pulled out his little lawn mower and was definitely breaking a sweat. Before Chase started to mow, he told me he had to check the oil to make sure his lawn mower would start.

I love these kind of pictures!
