One Quotable Kid

Here are a few sayings and quotes from Chase that make me laugh.

1. It was raining and very windy outside. Chase asked me if our trees with blow away. I told him that they will be okay and he didn't need to worry about it. He said, "Yeah, they will be okay because they are plugged into the dirt."

2. Chase's favorite insult saying to people is to call them "A stick of butter."

3. Chase asked if we could go to Utah to see his Papa and Monga (my parents). I told him not today because we needed to save our money to buy airplane tickets. He asked why and I told him because it cost a lot of money. He said' "Well maybe we could just fly on a dragon."

4.  Every morning when Landon wakes up, Chase climbs up his crib and says to Landon, "Your stuck like a cowboy." Not sure the meaning of this but both boys think its hilarious.

5. Chase was telling Craig about what we do at the airport. He says "You first have to put your stuff on the conveyor belt to make sure you don't have sharp things, then we get on the airplane and you have to put your head back so when we take off, you don't fall out of the airplane. And then when we land don't worry Dad, there will be just a little bump and then yelling at the top of his lungs, he said and then we will be in Utah. Yes, he is excited to be in Utah.

Bubble takeover

Chase loves bubble baths but doesn't get them very often because I usually bathe the boys together to save time. Landon can sit up pretty well in the bathtub and Chase was begging for a bubble bath so I decided to give it a try. It lasted about 2 minutes for Landon before he took a dive in the bubbles. It was fun while it lasted.

The one and only picture of Landon's first bubble bath.
This  was right before he took the dive into the bubbles.

Reptiles

If we are not swimming, we are usually cooped up in our house to get out of the sun and sometimes we get a little bored. So I found that the library is a great place to help fill our hot summer days. Last week, we went to reptile day. They had a baby crocodile, snakes, and turtles. Chase was quite nervous about the crocodile and snake but loved the turtles.

A baby crocodile that was born this year

It really had to convince Chase to touch the snake.

We had fun and look forward to continue to do activities at the library. I decided to not put Chase in preschool this coming fall since he still has 2 more years before he goes to Kindergarten, so we will be definitely be using the library to occupy our time.

9 Months

Landon is 9 months old and growing like crazy. He is taking after his Dad. He is in the 98% for his height and is officially way to big for his infant car seat which makes me sad. He has mastered army crawling and he gets around to where ever he wants. His favorites places to go in the house is where there is either a door stop or some kind of cord he can play with. I definitely cannot let this kid out of my sight.

He is also quite fond of his binky and has a favorite blanket he likes to cuddle with

Landon has a thing for biting on his binky. He will do this for hours at a time.

And he is still happy as can be.You can always count on Landon for a smile.

Storybook Preschool

When we first moved to Texas, Chase was really bored and we didn't know many people. I was so grateful for playgroup. Within the first couple of weeks of playgroup, we met Mindy. She has become a great friend and she also has a 3 year old son Ethan. Neither of our boys were in preschool so we decided we would start a little group called Storybook Preschool. It just started out with Chase and Ethan. By the time, we finished up this group for the summer, we had six boys (not intentionally). Once a week, we would meet at one our house's and have story time and an activity. It was a lot of fun and and it was something Chase and I looked forward to each week. On the last week of preschool, we decided to have a little party at the splash pad. Only 3 of the 6 boys made it but it was a great way to end preschool. Below is Chase, Ethan, and Matthew

Here are some of our favorite books we read
